Job Title: Recording Arts Instructor (Pro Tools Certified, Songwriting Focus)

Location: In-person/online

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Recording Arts Instructor to join our growing creative team. The ideal candidate will be Pro Tools certified, have a strong foundation in songwriting, and bring at least three years of professional experience in the recording arts or music industry. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys mentoring students and sharing real-world knowledge of audio production and music creation.

Responsibilities:

·       Teach courses in recording arts with an emphasis on Pro Tools and songwriting techniques

·       Develop lesson plans, hands-on projects, and assessments that align with current industry standards

·       Provide instruction in audio engineering, mixing, mastering, and digital audio workflows

·       Mentor and guide students in their creative and technical development

·       Maintain a safe, professional, and inclusive learning environment

·       Stay current with industry tools, trends, and certification standards

·       Contribute to program development and curriculum improvements

Qualifications:

·       Pro Tools certification (User, Operator, or Expert level)

·       Minimum 3 years of professional experience in recording arts, audio engineering, or music production

·       Strong songwriting background with a portfolio of original work

·       Familiarity with music theory and composition

·       Teaching or mentoring experience preferred, but not required

·       Proficient in DAWs, audio interfaces, signal flow, and studio equipment

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Degree in music, audio production, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)

·       Experience with other DAWs (Logic Pro, Ableton Live, etc.)

·       Experience working in a commercial or educational studio setting
